Pages change. Two of the addresses below no longer show what my dated captures show, and one of them no longer exists at all. That is why each entry carries a date and a status. Where a page has changed, I show my capture beside what is there now and let you decide what to make of it. I am not claiming to know why anything changed.

Where GM Canada showed the home power system

GM Canada newsroom. 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali Arrives in Canada.

Still livePublished October 15, 2024. Checked August 14, 2026.

GM Canada's own caption on the photograph reads: “2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali in Thunderstorm Gray charging with GM Energy products inside a garage.” I bought my truck eight days later, on October 23, 2024.

Picture since changedCaptured by me June 25, 2026. Checked again August 14, 2026.

On June 25, 2026 the charging section of this page showed the GM Energy home system on the wall. The section heading is unchanged. The photograph is not. See the box below for how to check this yourself.

Page removedCaptured by me June 28, 2026. Checked August 14, 2026.

This address now returns GM Canada's 404 page, “Sorry, this page is currently unavailable.” My dated capture appears in the video.

Chevrolet Canada. Silverado EV, previous model year.

Now redirectsCaptured by me March 26, 2026. Checked August 14, 2026.

This address now redirects to the current model year page. I make no claim that this page ever carried vehicle-to-home wording. My capture shows the equipment in the photograph, not in the text.

A public file every website publishes. It lists each page and the date that page was last modified. I quote it in the video without drawing any conclusion from it.

Check the image description yourself

On the GMC Canada page above, the picture changed but the description attached to it did not. The description is not visible on the page. It sits in the page code, and any browser will show it to you.

Sixty seconds, no tools

1. Open gmccanada.ca/en/electric/previous-year-sierra-ev

2. Right-click anywhere on the page and choose View Page Source

3. Press Ctrl+F, or Cmd+F on a Mac, and search for charging-masthead

4. Read the alt text beside it. It says “Front-side view of the 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali being EV charged.”

Then look at the photograph on the page. The truck is facing away from you. There is no grille in it. That description was written for a different picture.

What I am not saying

I am not saying anyone lied to me. I am not saying why any web page changed. I have no information about that and I do not speculate about it in the video or on this page.

Everything I publish is either a document put out by General Motors or General Motors of Canada Company, correspondence with an authorized GM dealership, a photograph of my own property, or my own account of something I witnessed. Where a statement is my recollection rather than a document, I say so.

I gave General Motors of Canada Company advance notice of the video and an opportunity to identify any factual error in it before it was published.
